You might have heard from those that trekked gorillas in Rwanda or Uganda but our expert opinion on this matter will help you to make the right decision. Gorilla trekking takes place in three African countries of Uganda, Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo. Out of these three countries that harbor mountain gorillas, we only operate in Uganda and Rwanda.

If interested in gorilla trekking, please contact us with date, month and year when you propose to come for a gorilla tour. This is very paramount as it will guide us to check available gorilla permits in Rwanda or Uganda. It is prudent that you order and book your gorilla permit upfront to avoid shortage.

Gorilla Habituation Experience

Do you want an experience which is more than gorilla trekking? Try our gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This whole day research and habituation experience is currently taking place in the southern part of Bwindi National Park called Rushaga.

Gorilla Permits

Gorilla permits will sell out quickly in high season months of June, July, August, September, October, December, January and February and as such, you are reminded to at least book you gorilla permits three months in advance. If interested in discounts, then Uganda Wildlife Authority offers low season gorilla permits at USD450.00 in months of April, May and November 2016-17.

This price is subject to change thereafter as when this initiative was started in 2013, gorilla permits were costing USD350.00. This has changed in 2016-17 and discounted gorilla permits will cost USD450.00.

In Uganda, Normal gorilla permit prices in high season cost USD800.00 for Foreign none residents, USD700.00 for Foreign residents and about USD70 for East Africa. In Rwanda, a gorilla permit will cost USD1500.00 for Foreign residents and about USD1500 for Foreign none residents (Please check with us about price for Foreign Residents).

Where To Stay

We also advise on where to stay while on your gorilla trekking safari. There several options in Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga National Park in Uganda.

It’s a matter of letting us know your budget and we will recommend a lodge that will give you comfort and value for money.

Getting There

Whether you want to drive or fly to gorilla trekking National Parks, we are open to advising you since it is now possible to charter or take a scheduled flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park or Mgahinga National Park.
