Our luxury 3 day bwindi double trek through kigali is also meant for those that want to trek gorillas twice for reasons such as comparing different mountain gorilla families or spending more time with mountain gorillas on different days.  It’s also meant for those that would love to trek Uganda gorillas but want to drive less by flying into Kigali Instead of Entebbe International Airport. Arrivel

  • You’ll be picked up from the airport (or hotel)
  • Accommodation before the tour departs can be arranged for extra cost

Day 1Pick up from Kigali and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National Park

  • Morning/transfer: You will be picked from Kigali International Airport/Any Hotel in Kigali to start your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey is very scenic and will take you  through a country of a thousand hills to the Pearl of Africa.
  • Afternoon/Lunch: You cross over to Uganda at Katuna border for a stop at Kabale town for lunch before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for overnight.
  • Evening: you will arrive at your hotel and spend the evening at Lesiure .

Drive time: Approximately 4-5 hours

Day 2Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

  • Morning: Take an early morning breakfast at your lodge, head to the park headquarters with packed lunch for a compulsory briefing about the rules and regulations to follow while on the trek. The hike in search for these “Gentle Giants” can take 1-7 hours depending on their movements in their natural habitat.
  • Trek and observation: Once you meet them, the thrill of encountering the gorillas in the forest erases away all the poor memories you went through searching for them. It is worth the effort! You will be allowed to stay with the gorillas for 60 minutes (maximum), take photos, selfies, videos and enjoy gorillas feeds, playing and young ones swinging on tree. (NOTE: Avoid using flash when taking photos).
  • Lunch: Descend to your lodge for lunch and relax at the Hotel
  • Evening: You will head out for a brief nature walk or visit local communities. Also available are curio shops, drinking joints, local school and orphanages among others. You can try the other option doing Munyanja river trail, where you can see the waterfalls and an array of bird life or the Muzabajiro/ Ruhija trails which offer forest and grassland bird species plus more primates. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3Second Gorilla Trekking and Drive to Kigali Airport

  • Morning: After breakfast, you have the option to do a second Gorilla trek before you depart back to Rwanda to end the tour considering a late flight out.
  • Lunch: you will stop for Lunch and then proceed to Kigali
  • Afternoon: Late afternoon, you will arrive in Kigali and the driver will drop you off at Kigali Airport or your hotel to end the trip
