Queen Elizabeth National Park is located in the Western side of Uganda and lies on the rift valley floor and rises at the Kazinga channel this means the temperatures can really be warm, in the dry season and receives high rains in the rainy seasons, giving it a diversity of habitants. This makes it a home, to 95 mammals’ species and 612 species of birds. The park size covers 1,978 square kilometers (764 sq. miles).
The park extends to the Ishasha Wilderness whichis famous for its tree-climbing lions. The Rwenzori Mountain being a backdrop to the Park also makes its rich with eminent vistas such as the dozens of gigantic caves uniquely designed into rolling green hills, panoramic view of the Kazinga Channel. It’s also uniquely known for its volcanic features, such as volcanic cones and deep craters, many with crater lakes, such as the Katwe crater from which salt is extracted.

Commence your journey from your hotel premises as early as 7.30am after breakfast, with your professional driver guide, heading to Enganzi Game Lodge, you will meet a number of exciting things and beautiful sceneries of rocky and mountainous hills as you drive to the Park. Lunch will be in Mbarara.
Check in at Enganzi Game Lodge which is constructed on a hill bordering the Park and overlooking the virgin bush in the cradle of the magnificent wild, you will have a wider choice in glimpses of nature’s best at the flora and fauna has to offer, you will spend the next two nights there.
Adventure out!!! At 5.00 pm for the evening game drive along with a Uganda Wildlife Authority Guide who is an expert at finding the elusive Lions and Leopards, also Elephants, Giraffe, Buffaloes, an abundance of birds, , and Antelopes in abundance as you ride across the savannah and rolling hills of Queen Elizabeth Park with the Rwenzori gracing the background. Retire to Enganzi Lodge for the night and dinner.
Rise up for the jungle walk ready to see the Chimpanzees in the Kyambura Gorge.The gorge is part of the giant Rift Valley, the place where you will meet your chimpanzee group.The chimpanzees are habituated, meaning that they are used to human beings.
You will spot other wildlife, butterflies and birds as you move along on your three hour time of tracking.
Return for lunch at Enganzi Game Lodge.
Embark on a 3 hour exciting, amazing and wonderful afternoon time you will enjoy while ferrying through the boat cruise along the Kazinga channel,it’s one of the highlights of the trip so optimize every moment.
Cruise past huge hippo pods, crocodiles, elephants, bathing buffaloes, sometimes lions and numerous aquatic birds adorning the lake shores or above the blue waters fly swiftly.
Retire for the evening and dinner at Enganzi Game Lodge
Check out of the lodge and drive through the Mweya area to the Ishasha plains.This is 100km from Queen Elizabeth National Park which is a 3hours’ ‘drive.Enjoy the game drive and true wilderness experience .The Ishasha jungle has a variety of habitations and it’s famously known for its tree climbing lions, which exhibits a unique experience as well as the Savanna woodland, Ishasha River, the marshy Lake Edward flats and these all are a home to a variety of fauna e.g. the rare Shoebill stork. The reserve providesa true wilderness picture. You will have packed d lunch and you will retire for dinner and the night in the Wilderness Camp Lodge.
Have breakfast and check out of the lodge. Lunch will be enroute.Last stopover at the Equator where you will take some photo shots, It’s such a good experience, one foot in the northern hemisphere and one foot on the Southern hemisphere of the world, with a monument on both sides that state “Uganda Equator”.
Don’t forget to do souvenir shopping as a reminder to your visit to Uganda at the Equator ground.
Proceed to the airport to catch your flight back home.
