
Tanzania, officially known as the United Republic of Tanzania is located in East Africa, lies within the African Great Lakes Region, has a Coastline access to the Indian Ocean. It borders Uganda to the north, Kenya northeast, Comoros Islands and Indian Ocean to the east, Mozambique and Malawi to southwest, Rwanda, Burundi and Democratic Republic of Congo to the west,
Tanzania got her independence in 1961 from the British Colonial Rule. Its Capital city is Dodoma; however, Dar-es Salaam is the largest city and Port located along the eastern coast on the Indian Ocean. The head of state is His excellency President John Magufuli. Swahili and English are the official languages; however, many indigenous languages and Arabic are spoken.
Geographically, Tanzania `s terrain comprises of coastal plains, a central plateau, highlands in the north and south. It’s a home to the highest point in Africa that is Mountain Kilimanjaro, the second largest Lake in the world that is Lake Victoria and the Great Rift Valley. The climate varies from tropical along the coast, to temperate in the highlands.
Tourism, Tanzania is a home to some of the most famous National Parks and natural attractions, the beaches of Zanzibar, the beautiful snow – capped mountains, the Great Rift Valley and much more adventures.
